66AK2G12: DDR Configuration Tools AppNote

Hi

We have gone through the below and found configure EMIF and PHY for interfacing with DDR. But on opening the EMIF Tools Appnote there is no tool found for 66AK2G12 DSP.

Do I have to configure anything for DDR3 interface?

    The Keystone II DDR Guide and Keystone II DDR Debug Guide in the EMIF Tools Appnote apply to 66AK2G12 device.

    Srikanth,

    As Rex indicated, 66AK2G12 is part of the Keystone II device family so the EMIF tool for K2G is found as part of the Keystone II DDR Initialization guide. Please look at the screenshot below on locating the spreedsheet for configuring the EMIF/DDR controller.

    The other couple of Tips, if you are using a 32 bit DDR layout as we have used with K2G GP EVM, you can look at our GEL and software to see the values used for SDRAM Timing and reuse the same sequence for your DDR part. K2G ICE EVM, also provides a 16 bit DDR reference design and initialization sequence.

    The GEL file for K2G platforms is found in our CCS IDE install in the following location:

    C:\ti\ccsv9xx\ccs\ccs_base\emulation\boards\evmK2G  (Assumption install in default location)
