Preemt RT support for DVSDK PSP linux kernel

Hi,

I am completely new to TI DSP OMAP space. We have got a L138 EVM board and I have set up the DVSDK 4.0 for kernel build and configuration. The default kernel version is linux-2.6.33-rc4-psp03.20.00.13. I am able to build and flash this kernel with ease.

We do have a specific real time requirement which we feel the default Linux kernel may not be able to satisfy. Hence I tried applying the Linux PREEMPT RT  patch-2.6.33.7.2-rt30.bz2 to this, but without luck. Has anybody tried applying PREEMPT RT patch to DVSDK PSP linux kernel yet?

Any pointers are highly appreciated as this info is very critical to our OS/RTOS selection criteria.
