TDA4VM: same camera sharing of 2 x TDA4

Part Number: TDA4VM

Dear Champs,

My customer is considering a ADAS application having 2 x TDA4 devices, and want to check how same camera image be shared between 2 x TDA4s.

Can the 2 x camera images be received and mix it in 1st TDA4? and then can the mixed image be sent to 2nd TDA4?

In this case, what is your recommendation for this I/F between 1st and 2nd TDA4?

Is it possible CSI2 TX of 1st TDA4 can be connected to CSI2 RX of 2nd TDA4 after mixing image in 1st TDA4?

Is there any way to connect DSI of 1st TDA4 can be connected to CSI2 RX of 2nd TDA4 ?

Thanks and Best Regards,

SI.

  • Hi SI,

You can capture images from 2 cameras on 1st TDA4 and superimpose them. You can send this superimposed image from 1st TDA4 to 2nd TDA4 through the CSITX interface. You can connect CSITX of 1st TDA4 to CSIRX of 2nd TDA4 to transfer the image.

You cannot connect the DSI of one TDA4 to CSIRX another TDA4. Also, you can either use CSITX or DSI interface on the same EVM. Both cannot work simultaneously.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Vivek Dhande.
