Hello,

i have the problem when I try to restart from Linux I can´t. The controller was shut down and I received the message

"systemd-shutdown[1]: Rebooting." but the controller doesn´t start again.

A brief overview over the system:

CPU: 66AK2G12

Custom Board

Boot from eMMC

if i boot from SD-Card, the reboot works properly. But when I want to boot from eMMC, it doesn´t start again.

Normal boot with Power Switch ON, the Controller starts from eMMC.

could anyone tell me what I made wrong?

Hi, Markus,

We've never tried eMMC boot on K2G. I'll need to set up and try it first before I look into the issue. I'll post back later.

I can't boot from eMMC. How did you get it working? I wrote the MLO and u-boot.img to the partitiion, but after switching to eMMC boot mode, nothing shows up in the console.

Hello Rex,

This is strange because we just copied the u-boot.img file to the partition and it works.

What are you Bootmode options?

Ours are:

BootmodePins:0x2E4

Hi, Markus,

If I interpret your bootmode pins correctly based on Fig 4-3 of the TRM (SPRUHY8H), The value 0x2E4 doesn't have LSB set to 1, so bit 3-0 is the boot mode, 0x0100, and it is SPI boot. In the TRM, there isn't any configuratioin that supports eMMC boot. In the EVM User's Guide, it marked as SPI No PLL boot. Do you have a BMC cosole? what value does the "bootmode" command show?
