PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: USB Device mode configuration

Hi,

Mass Storage gadget in U-Boot is not supported in Processor SDK. Can you please let me know why and how you use this feature? As far as I am aware you are the first one asking for this feature.

I want to use this feature as I have to enumerate the am335x-evm-sk, which runs linux, as a new device using the USB port 0, in a linux host.

I know that the board gets enumerated as a Future Technology Devices International device and as a Standard Microsystems device, in addition to these I want it to be enumerated as some other usb device.

The FTDI and SMSC hub enumerated on the usb host are the hardware on the SK board, they have nothing to do with U-Boot or Linux.

Typically the life cycle of U-Boot is very short, which is only from powering on the board until U-Boot loads Linux kernel. Can you please explain how you will use mass storage gadget function in U-Boot? What data are stored? and where to store?

Yes, I do know that the life cycle of u-boot is very short.

I want to stop the autoboot and enumerate the u-boot itself as a usb device, for starters say a mass storage device, later on, some other type of device, preferably a fastboot device.

I would like to inform you that I'm using the u-boot from the PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM335X-EVM.
