I work on tda2sx linux mode.

Firstly I boot the system with SD only mode, it can login with root.

Then I boot with SD + NFD, when i login with root, it show incorrect.

  • Hi Robert,

can you make sure you have full permissions on $INSTALL_DIR/ti_components/os_tools/linux/targetfs folder (or the one you use for NFS root).

Note that only targetfs folder needs to have full permission not the files within.

    You can try:

    cd $INSTALL_DIR/ti_components/os_tools/linux/targetfs

    chmod 777 ../targetfs

    Regards,

    Yordan

  • HI Yordan,

    Thanks for your reply.

I copy targetfs to a new dir under /nfs  and chmod 777.

    I can login with root,

but if I set the dir to /vs/ti_components/os_tools/linux/targetfs,  and it had been set to 777,

but login still failed. What would be the problem? Thanks!

    tfy@tfy-OptiPlex-390:/vs/ti_components/os_tools/linux/targetfs$ ls -al ../targetfs/

  • Hi Robert,

it should not be the contents of the "targetfs" directory with full permission, but the "targetfs" directory itself.

Can you post the output of "ls -al /vs/ti_components/os_tools/linux"

    Regards,

    Yordan

  • Hi Robert,

can you try to delete files in "targetfs" directory and reextract the rootfs and see if the issue persists?
