OV SCCB questions

Hi All,

I would like to ask a question on OminVision's SCCB interface.

Many (if not all) of the image sensors listed on OV's website described itself to have "standard SCCB interface", for example, the OV 3647. I have never heard of this standard before so I googled and found one thread in the E2E forum:

SCCB vs. I2C

The information I got from these this thread is that SCCB is OV's implementation of a simplified version of standard Philips I2C for avoiding license fees. Two users (dejan sajic, MattLipsey) comfirmed that SCCB could work with DavinCi's I2C driver.

My question is that does there exist any example code shhowing how a OV sensor with SCCB interface should be configured via I2C? OV is a major supplier of image sensors so I think there should a quite a portion of DavinCi users uses OV sensors in their work, so what is their feedback in general? Is it easy to learn and use?

Another question is that is there any additional image sensor suppliers besides OV and Aptina? I used Google 's related:ovt.com search directive but seems to found only some HD sensor suppliers besides Aptina. Does there exist any third or fourth alternative?
