Hi, I've meet the booting problem on my EVM8168B(DM8168 with DDR3), there is no output on UART(P10).
What I have done:
1. After I received the board from TI, I tried booting from all ports which is mentioned in u-boot mannual. But all of them cannot boot up. It seems that all those memory(Nandflash, SD, Nor, SPI ) are not programed with booting files.
2. Then I tried booting from SD(the SD card is also provided in EVM kit) because SD is easy to be written. I've run the "mksd-ti816x.sh", which is provided by TI, to make the bootable SD.
3. After making, I set the swtich as u-boot mannual specified (SW3: 0000010111, SW4: 11), and it boots up. I can enter into u-boot cmd line.
4. Then I program the u-boot image file into flash by following the u-boot mannual. All the hint printed out shows the operations is OK.
5. After flashing, I switch off the board, adjust the switch to fit for flash booting, and trying boot from flash, --> Failed, nothing printout from UART(P10)
6. I switch back to SD booting, this time, SD card cannot boot, no output from UART(P10)
7. I tried many times(including remake the SD image), but nothing output.
================================
I've asked my local FAE, he suggests me to program the flash through CCS, and give up SD booting. However it would take us long time to study CCS(We are not prepare to use CCS in our project. ). I hope it could be solved by your suggestions. Thank you.
Additional Info from the other UART which is for power moniter, the data printed are as following tables. the voltage of U18 sees wrong, I'm not sure if it is a software bug. Just for your information.
