We have a customer, looking for an integrated Android based infotainment+1 RVC and 360 degree Surround view system in TI J6 ECO platform.
The system will have BT/WIfi, GPS, USB, Car play, Android Auto as well.
As the Android vDRM based solution is NOT feasible for production quality, we have proposed a different design to the customer as below :
The production system can use J6 ECO for Android infotainment and 1 Rear view camera.
For running the 4 camera surround view system, an integrated ISP TDA2x ECO(If customer need 3D Surround view ) or TDA3x (If customer need 2D surround view ) can be used.
J6 ECO and TDAx SoCs will be placed on a single PCBA. The displays will be independently run for infotainment and ADAS system.
The above design will include extra cost for placing TDAx along with DDR, Flash etc components but will be proven for production quality.
It will be great if you could provide more insight and feasibility into the approach we are suggesting to the customer.
The customer is specifically looking for J6 based solution as the cost for J7 will be high.
