TDA4VM: TDA4VM

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hi experts,

As far as i know, TDA4VM has both DP and DSI display port. For some reason, we want to use serializer UB953 with CSI port to serialize the display signal.

Whether is it possible to connect TDA4's DSI port directly with UB953's CSI port ?

  • Hi HuTian,

I don't think it possible to connect DSI port to UB953 CSI port. May I ask, why are you not using "DS90UB941AS" serializer (this supports DSI protocol)?

  • Hi Vivek,

Sorry for not making it clear. As the TRM said the DSI's pin can mux as the CSI-TX or DSI. We want to use the CSI-TX to connect with UB953.Whether exists the CSI-TX's driver in the Linux SDK? Besides, the current PinMux tool doesn't have the mux funciton for CSI-TX.

    Best Regard

  • Hi HuTian,

Yes, you can connect CSI-TX to UB953. But SDK does not any driver/configurations to program UB953 for the said purpose.

CSITX driver available in PSDKRA 6.2 and onwards does support programming of this pin mux. This driver will take care of configuring the pin mux for CSITX usage.

I hope this answers all your questions.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Vivek Dhande.
