Hi Team,

My customer use DM8148 many years in old project and now start a new project based DM8148 and need to select two video receivers to interface this DSP:

1. HD-SDI/SD-SDI receiver, they are considering Semtech GS2971AIBE3. Please use verifying/confirming the parallel video interface compatibility with DM8148. Also advise possible alternatives.

2. HDMI receiver (1080p60 input) and BT.1120 output. Please suggest relevant receiver ICs that can support these input/output formats.

Please find answers to your questions below.

1, Not much detail is available for this SDI receiver. From link(https://semtech.my.salesforce.com/sfc/p/#E0000000JelG/a/44000000MD3i/kpmMkrmUWgHlbCOwdLzVohMm1SDPoVH85guEGK.KXTc), i see that it outputs 10 and 20 bit 1080p signals. I think this means it supports 10bit per color component. VIP in DM8168 supports 8bit per color component. So if it is ok to drop lower two bits, VIP should be able to capture this 1080p signals in both embedded sync as well as in discrete sync format. Also it would be great if we can get more details on the sync format and signal information..

2, We have used and tested HDMI TX SI9134/5 for input and HDMI RX SI9022 for output. I think both of them support BT1120 format.

I’m trying to figure out what it’s the current consumption,

In the datasheet said to use the “Power Estimation Spreadsheet

Application Report (Literature Number: SPRABO3).”

The link of it is not working, can you please help to get this document?

BTW - I found the SPRAB03A but this one is not for power estimation

I think the Doc number need to be without the “A”
