Hi, expert:

The current PSDKLA v6.2 doesn’t support Linux CAN driver on J721E.

But in the PSDKLA package, it seems the Linux CAN driver is supported on AM654x.

 

Is the CAN IP used on J721E the same as what is on AM654x?

If yes, customer can develop the Linux CAN driver on J721E with the reference of the code for AM654x.

    Hi Peter,

    Your understanding is correct.

    1. There is no CAN Linux driver on J721E and it is not planned right now.
    2. Am654x had a Linux CAN driver.
    3. The CAN IP (MCAN) on both AM654x and J721E is the same.
    4. Customers can develop their own driver based by taking reference from the AM654x.
