I'm confused to choose a processor for video processing application

i.e video tracking...

my question which is best cheep processor video processing application..

i searched for Davinci and OMAP.....it seems both does same applications

what is difference b/w Davinci and OMAP?

what is difference b/w ARM core and DSP core in Davinci and OMAP processors?

what ARM core do? and What DSP core do?

please help me out

    Davinci Processor line is best suited for video centric applications. if you have high end video processing needs to be done DaVinci family woudl allow you to have SW scalable support.

    if you are using low end Video along with general purpose UI then OMAP product  would be best suited for these application, OMAP provides you ARM which can perform generic processing in parallel to DSP + accelerators are dedicated for video processing,

     

    What is resolution & what video processing you are looking for?what is end application that you plan to run with video processing?
