TMS320C5517: UHPIC register in Host Port Interface

Part Number: TMS320C5517

Hello,

I have a question about UHPI control register(UHPIC). Looking at TRM's description of 16.6 UHPI registers, it looks like UHPIC registers have only UHPICL registers.

However, looking at Figure 16-8 and Figure 16-11, it seems that UHPIC is 32 bits width. Is UHPIC only a 16-bit width UHPICL register?

Best Regards,

  • Hi, Masashi,

We don't see what you are referring to in Figure 16-8 and 16-11, but your observation is correct. UHPI is one of those 32-bit peripherals being used on this 16-bit device. The UHPIC register only has 16-bits of unique bitfields. I believe the UHPICL and UHPICU registers are duplicates (double mapped) – writing/reading to one also writes/reads the other. We only document the lower half-word in TRM and in CSLR.

  • Rex-san,

    Thank you for your explanation.

    I understand it.

    I appreciate it.
