TDA2P-ACD: ABB Feature Question

Part Number: TDA2P-ACD

Dear TI Team,

I would like to clarify one topic, to use the Adaptive Body Bias (ABB) feature in the SoC, is not needed to communicate with the PMIC right? Is only a feature inside the SoC which you can select the voltage of the internal LDOs which are driving the logic transistors.

Thanks and regards!

  • Carlos,

    Yes that is correct.

For AVS (related to ABB), you read the effuse registers in the SoC and program the PMIC voltage levels accordingly.  Normally ABB and AVS would be setup in the same code sequence.

    Regards,

    Kyle
