CCS/AM3352: NDK initialization too long

Hi Hongping,

Have you tried the existing NDK/NIMU examples in the Processor SDK RTOS (basic and the ftp example)?

Do you see the same problem?

I cannot find where "Starting test with a 1000 uSec delay between transmits" got printed out in the code.

One other thing you can try is to connect to a gigbit connection or use a gigbit switch in between. It looks like the negotiation takes about 2 seconds.

How do you connect your AM335x to the ethernet? To a PC, or another device directly Or via a switch or a router with DHCP?

I do not have a AM335x EVM at hand, so I cannot verify the slow down issue presents on evmAM335x or not.

I printed some logs, and found that when interacting with PHY chip,

the waiting time for PHY chip register status was a little long,

maybe it was a hardware interaction problem

That was my guess too. I is why I recommend you to put a switch between your PC and the board, so that the PHY on the board can interact with the switch instead of the PHY on PC.

       A router is connected through the network cable,

and the connection time is basically the same as that of the PC。

Try to adjust the ENETPHY_MDIX_TO in pdk_am335x_1_0_16\packages\ti\board\src\evmAM335x\device\enet_phy.c. Current value is for 2.74 second.

        I have tried to mody ENETPHY_MDIX_TO  to 1,it crash when application run.

and I trie to 10,20,50,no change in initialization time.
