AM5748: Boot from USB thumbdrive created with create-sdcard.sh

Part Number: AM5748

Hi,

We configured our TMDSIDK5749 to boot from USB > eMMC (sysboot[5:0] = 0b000000).
With an USB thumbdrive created with the create-sdcard.sh script inserted into USB1 on the IDK, we expected to be able to boot linux with an empty eMMC. This is not the case, however.

When digging deeper in the TRM, it seems that the am57xx ROM code does not support reading MLO and u-boot.img from a USB thumbdrive.

Can you confirm that there is no way to boot ONLY from USB thumbdrive with the ROM code in the am574x?

Best regards,

Fredrik
