AM3358: Low power processor recommendation

Hi,

Im using a Raspberry pi for my application which acts as a Gateway for Cloud Connectivity, we are running a Java based Code for all the tasks underlying and Azure as Cloud partner, the issue we have got is Power consumption is way high in Raspberry pi, which draws 0.5A(idle) constantly, due to this we are unable to run it on battery(Li+ 3500mAH).

Can you suggest any TI Processor based board which can be very ultra low powered ( 50mA in idle) that could able to run on battery.

I have Beagle bone board, but also in that too the current draw is way high.Any sleep modes in Beagle Bone?

Hi,

The Beaglebone Black has an AM335x processor, which does have low power modes. You can find details here: software-dl.ti.com/.../Power_Management.html

Hi,

This Link is very usefull in deterrmining the Power, but as a whole considering the BBB(Beagle Bone black) including all the External Peripherals(USB+Etherneet+HDMI+PCI), how extent the current draw can be mininmized?
