Hello, I cam across an old article on Real-time Performance of FPGA's in Bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux

Is there any documentation covering the Keystone II processors and how to optimize for real-time performance? I'm looking at 5us-10usec I/O times to get data in and out of my program.

Hi, Joe,

Liinux performance can be found in http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/docs/latest/linux/Release_Specific_Performance_Guide.html

You can look at the K2G column which is the same ARM core as other KS2 devices. For RTOS and Baremetal performance, I'll have DSP expert to comment.

Hi,

For RTOS, please see the benchmarking number here: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sprabk5b/sprabk5b.pdf. This includes the corepac and peripherals, you need to know what you used in your datapath and data size, to convert this throughput to your I/O delay, also please considering the data processing time.
