AMIC110: AMIC110 and AM3359 ICE Boards

Part Number: AMIC110
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDXICE110, TMDSICE3359, , AM3359

Hi,

Been looking to find most applicable solution for a Industrial Protocol Board, For my cases I find the AMIC110 to be most applicable, however I found that we have a TMDSICE3359 based of the AM3359. What I want to know is even if i intend to use AMIC110 for final application, would my evaluation on TMDSICE3359 be fully portable to the AMIC110, or would i be better off starting with TMDXICE110.

I can see some differences in evaluting with AM3559 from comparing Functional Blocks is the Graphics, eQEP, crypto and touchscreen/LCD Control.

I just want to check on moving from eval to use case level, will it be fully portable SW Wise.

Any help or advise you can provide here is much appreciated

Many Thanks

Calex

  • Hi Calex,

I would prototype my application on TMDXICE110 if the final target device is AMIC110. There is difference between the two devices as you already noticed, also the CPU clock MHz varies too, which may impact your application profiling result. And the PHYs used on the two boards are not the same either. In addition, DDR-less EtherCAT reference design is only available on AMIC110.

    Regards,
