375/456-MHz C674x frequency selection

Dear All

Is it  allowed  connect to TMS320C6748BZWTD4  V-CORE = 1.2v instead 1.3volt and work under 375 Mhz instead 456-MHz , My CVDD on my PCB is 1.2v and no 1.3v , and I want to assembly the new version of DSP TMS320C6748BZWTD4 (456MHz).

Thank for your help !!!

Shush

  • Shush,

I think the answer is yes, but you should confirm with someone on the more hardware-oriented OMAPL1x Processors Forum (where I see you’ve posted in the past).  For devices that support 456MHz, the DSP/BIOS power manager (PWRM module) provides dynamic frequency/voltage scaling to lower operating frequencies and voltages, for example 372MHz/1.2volts.  But I’m not familiar with specific device characterizations, or if there may be some other reasons that a 1.3V supply would be needed for that device – that is why I think you should ask on the other forum...

    Regards,
    Scott
