The hardware:
beaglebone black (bbb)

I have try compile the Android Development Kit for Sitara Microprocessors:
www.ti.com/.../ANDROIDSDK-SITARA
but during installation, only a hidden folder is created
~/TI_Android_JB_4.2.2_DevKit_4.1.1/.repo

I tried installing the android sdk for am57xx, and the installation is finely.
Compilation and creation of the default sd card also without any problems.

What do I do wrong when installing the ANDROIDSDK-SITARA ?
Please help.

1. am57xx is not beaglebone black . You cannot install that package for AM3 on AM57x

2. the package you mentioned is 7 years old . It is not actively maintained. Did you get any error while downloading the package?

3. For AM3 android, as mentioned on top of the page in the link at "Important note" please check witekio BSP.

In order:
1. I didn't say that I tried using the sdk for am57xx in bbb.
2. I just needed confirmation that ANDROIDSDK-SITARA is broken.

Just checked manifest:

http://downloads.ti.com/sitara_android/esd/TI_Android_DevKit/TI_Android_JB_4_2_2_DevKit_4_1_1/exports/TI-Android-JB-4.2.2-DevKit-4.1.1.xml

the manifest when created 7 years back was based on gitorious.org/rowboat projects. But gitorious no longer exists

Hence when you tried to clone this legacy SDK the download instruction didnot fetch anything .

For AM3 android, check with witekio on their sw offering.
