Hi,

I am trying to "Build Linux Vision SDK for Fast Boot" with TDA2EVM5777, VisionSDK 3.07.

I applied kernel patches and build Linux and app. and make SD card.

And trying to QSPI boot.

Therefore, following the 'VisionSDK_Linux_UserGuide.pdf' file in Section 3.4.1.

I connected P2/USB1, UART cable to PC and changed the SW setting of EVM.

SW2[7:0] 0000 0111
SW3[7:0] 1000 0001
SW5[9:0] 00 0001 0100

Finally, I connected power to the EVM, only a blank screen is displayed on the PUTTY.

I am working with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS installed in VirtualBox.
I don't know what the problem is.

I tried another way but failed.

In this case, it was possible to enter the U-Boot.

1. Connect USB Cable (P1/USB and UART)
2. Power on (SD Card boot)
3. After entering U-Boot, change SW settings
4. Reset EVM
5. U-Boot : "=> env default -fa" and "saveenv"
6. Reset EVM
7. U-Boot "=> Fastboot 0"
8. Run "flash-qspi.sh" on host

However, the results from the HOST are waiting for the device.

In this case, I worked in a native Linux(Ubuntu 18.04 LTS) environment.

I don't know what the problem is.

Can you confirm if flash-qspi.sh was executed successfully?

Hi RamPrasad,

The flash-qspi.sh runs well up to mkimage, but fastboot "waits for any devices.." message appears.

Is it normal that nothing display when I hit the "fastboot devices" command in the terminal?

Do I need to install a device driver?

As mentioned, I will read the thread of the link.

I solved this problem.

I worked with USB 3.0 port, and the device appears normally when I work with USB 2.0 port.

"flash-qspi.sh" works well in HOST.
However, it doesn't seem to work properly on the EVM board.
I will organize this problem and write it in a new thread.
