J7 SoC CAN Gateway Performance

Hello TI,

I am looking to use the J7 SoC for a CAN data aggregation function. The idea i have is the following.

First usecase:

1. configure one of the R5F controllers to receive all 16 CAN / CAN-FD channels

2. forward / IPC the data on to another core

Second usecase:

1. configure one of the R5F controllers to receive all 16 CAN / CAN-FD channels

2. forward them to the Eth Switch configured on another R5F core to another ECU / Device connected over Eth

I'd like to know if you have done already this kind of functionality in either of the usecases or both of them. If yes, i'd like to know the following.

1. CPU load on the R5F.

2. processing load per CAN / CAN-FD channel

3. latency to gateway it from CAN to Eth (time_on_CAN_receive to time_on_Eth_Sent)

4. RAM usage / SRAM usage, what's the max RAM configured for this particular functionality ?

Thanks in advance. I am looking forward to the reply.
