AM5718: External Memory Protection?

Can you elaborate on use case?

If you are referring to protection with regards to bit error detection / correction, some AM57x devices support SECDED ECC on the DDR (EMIF) interface. This requires an additional memory connected to the DDR ECC pins of the SOC.

AM5718 does not support ECC.

You can check which devices support ECC by filtering on the ECC parameter at the AM57x products page (link below).
