Hello

I'm looking for a development kit for DSP C6746. Someone can help me ou advice me ?

My problem is the size of the BOOT ROM and if I can code inside...

Thanks,

  • Hi Elisabeth,

TI now recommends to use C6748 instead of C6746. C6748 being similar in functionality to C6746 but not an exact replacement.

So, I can some links for C6748.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your help!

I've an other question if you've time : I need to have a lot of memory to code inside. This is why I had chosen ths DSP C6746 because the BOOT ROM is equal to 1M.

The C6748 is good for the kit but it's not really match ...

Could you advise me with an other DSP which answer to my problem or if exist a kit for C6746?

    Thanks,

Best regards, (sorry if I make mistakes)

    Elisabeth

  • The C6746 and the C6748 are from the same family of parts, with the C6748 being a superset of the C6746 (that is, the C6748 has more features, peripherals, etc.). You can safely develop on the C6748 part and, as long as you do not use any features which are exclusive to that part, you can expect your programs to run on the C6746.  Both the C6746 and C678 have a 1MB ROM, but that memory is not available for user applications as it is read-only memory.
