TMS320C6713B: BGA Max Peak Temperature

Part Number: TMS320C6713B

According Hollie recommendation via e-mail. I look for Max Peak temp for this BGA and found on the pdf file "BGA Application Report for SMT" that Maximum peak temperature is 225°C. Is that correct? My question is due even for a Lead process this temperature is very low.

  • Hi, Alberto,

The best way to know the max peak temperature for a TI device is to look for the TI label on the bag or box the units came in. There will be a temperature on that label.

You did not include the part number in the post so I don’t know which TMS320C6713 part you are asking about.

Below are some examples of the max peak temperature for different part numbers.

    TMS32C6713BPYP… part #s are MSL4 260C

    TMS32C6713BZDP… part #s are MSL3 260C

    TMS32C6713BGDP… part #s are MSL3 220C

If the MSL (moisture level) or the max temp requirements are violated, the result could be damaged (delaminated) units.
