TMDSIDK437X: AM437x Ethercat slave full and Twincat 3.1

I have tried to connect twincat 3.1 to the ethercat slave full application and failed.

I am using the pre-built binary

I have copied the XML file TI_ESC.xml to the twincat folder C:\TwinCAT\3.1\Config\Io\EtherCAT

when I search for devices , I only find device 1 ( which may be found if nothing is connected)

In addition , when I look at the IDK board , I see only the yellow led. it is yellow regardless of whether the cable is connected on not . is there an additional setting I need to do that I missed ? a jumper in the idk ? other ?

note that when checking the network adapter it seems to be disconnected

Hello,

Are you booting the pre-built EtherCAT application binary from flash or SD card? Which SBL binary (MLO) are you using?

I put the binary on the SD card of the IDK

the MLO I am using is the one that was originally on the SD card and with which I have worked so far. not sure about version...

hen I look at the terminal and LEDs it seems that the application is working

should I change the MLO ? should I follow https://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/FAQ_Sitara_Industrial#Issues_running_prebuild_applications_using_SD_card_on_AM335x_when_SPI_is_pre-flashed ?

turns out it associated with the cable

note that both the USB cable and the Ethercat cable that came in the box with the IDK HW were faulty
