TDA4VM: How to access access C66, C77 accelerators from Linux OS running on A72 core

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hi,

In my TDA4 EVM, I am running Linux on A72 cores, and some of the applications running on Linux needs to access the C66 and C77 hardware accelerators.

Are there any examples that demonstrates this use case.

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards,

SR

  • Hi SR,

can you check if IPC examples referred here can suit your needs:

You can check Linux IPC low level drivers documentation here:

  • Hi Yordon,

    Thank you for your reply.

From the links provided, I understood that the IPC messaging framework runs on TI-RTOS and Linux (on A72 core side).

Does this mean that TI_RTOS is running on DSP core?

Is it possible to not use TI-RTOS on DSP core, and run the IPC framework?

How can we access the hardware accelerators from the DSP core?

Could you please try to clarify these.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best Regards,
    SR
