TDA4VM: query of the output display configuration in TDA4VM

Hi TI,

I have a question for TDA4 display system.

q1) how many display output I can use in TDA4, mip dsi x1 + DP x1 = total 2 <-- is it right ?

q2) what is the maximum resolution and hz on each output interface at the same time ?

Please find answers to your question below.

- You could three displays, MIPI/DSI + DP + DPI (Parallel output)

- Please refer to datasheet/TRM for max resolution supported on each output.

very thanks for your answer,

1) I can see 3x display output in data sheet, and I become to know DPI is duplicate output on DP or DSI.

2) for 2nd answer of yours, "Please refer to datasheet/TRM for max resolution supported on each output."

I have a question:

- I couldn't find out the max resolution when it simultaneously operates,

- in datasheet, it shows each resolution of dp and dsi, <-- (can I know the sum of each resolution is max bw ?)

- where can I find the simultaneous BW (resolution) in datasheet ??

Hello Mingwoo Song,

Well datasheet/specs cannot tell maximum simultaneous BW, as it depends on the other factors as well, for example dataformat, fps etc..

It can provide what is max resolution for each output, then based on your usecase, you could calculate BW.
