Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE
I want to investigate implementing Ethercat slave. What does TI recommend for a good place to get started with development platform and software?
Thanks!

Hello
Our F28388D device has ECAT IP integrated. The getting started and example software is in C2000Ware. Under libraries/communications.
Best regards

Thanks for the answer. Only I think TI made a mistake not to add an external bus on the arm processor. Because 96KB ram is not enough and the shared ram between arm and C2000 are also to small.
I very interested in a small footprint ethercat slave device. But there aren't many.
So I'm looking at the MYIR Tech MYD-C4377 board. But is there a working slave example for this. So I can get familiar with Ethercat.
Or are there better options?
Thanks.
Hello
I suggest checking out the TI Sitara processors. They have EtherCAT support.
Best regards
Chris
Why not use the Microchip LAN9252, it is way cheaper than the ET1100, and has the PHY's built into it....AND IS AVAILABLE tommorow, no lead times.
NO BGA.
I don't know why TI went with the Beckoff Chip over the Microchip LAN9252.......maybe some sort of competition.
