TMDSICE3359: EtherCAT SD card boot

Part Number: TMDSICE3359

Hi,

SDK: PRU-ICSS-EtherCAT_Slave_01.00.07.02

The customer want to booting via SD card, and he had test a simple LED blink project successfully. But he failed to run ethercat_slave_demo_AM335x_arm from sd card and the log prompts the application image “app” has been copied to ram and run successfully. The application is normal in debug mode.

Are there any steps that require special attention?

  • Nancy,

Do you mean the ethercat_slave_demo_AM335x_arm run successfully in debug mode with CCS but fails when its 'app' fails to run from sd card?

Does the customer update the MLO (SBL) with the one from the pdk_am335x_1_0_12\packages\ti\starterware\binary\bootloader\bin\am335x-evm\gcc\bootloader_boot_mmcsd_a8host_release_ti.bin (rename to MLO)?

Btw, we just have EtherCAT v1.0.8 released and is compatible with the latest PRSDK v6.3.
