We have an SDHC card that works fine with the MMC1 interface, but doesn't work with the MMC2 interface. We are using a 1.8v to 3.3v level shifter on MMC2. Also, an SD works fine with the MMC2 interface.
In TI OMAP3 MMC spec (sprufd2c) figure 1-1 (pg 11) and 1-2 you can see that MMC1 and MMC3 are similar design and MMC2 is quite different. In looking in the document for the differences, the only documented difference that I could find was MMC2 requires an external transceiver. However, this seems wrong because figure 1-1 and 1-2 are so different. There is another post about eMMC not working in MMC2 either, which also makes me wonder about undocumented MMC2 limitations.
Are there other limitations when using OMAP3 MMC2 interface?
