No BOOT ME prompt

I'm using an AM1808 eXperiementer kit with the logic som and the BOOT ME prompt from the RBL no longer appears when I set SW7:7 and SW7:8 to on.

My terminal app is set for 115200 Baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop, no parity, no flow ctrl. This used to work. I left the board on my desk for a week while I was on vacation and I came back to this. I do seem to be able to connect to the processor with CCS and a debugger, so it doesn't seem completely dead.

You can try a few things:

1) Use the debug GEL file to make sure the device is still booting in UART boot mode. It can also display any error messages from the ROM. http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/OMAP-L1x_Debug_Gel_Files

2) Put a scope on the UART_TX pin and see if there is any activity after reset. Is the baud rate show to be 115200 on the scope?

3) Remove and reseat the SOM. Sometimes the connections can lose contact.
