Hi team,

Do we have any DSP or MCU with CAN FD controller? I know we can use external TCAN4550 to communicate with DSP or MCU through SPI. Do we have CAN FD controller included in DSP or MCU directly so that only CAN FD transceiver is needed outside?

Hi Charles,

We do have the TDA4 SoCs (TRM: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruil1a/spruil1a.pdf?&ts=1589401291889, Product page: https://www.ti.com/product/TDA4VM) with MCAN (CAN FD controllers) in the integrated MCU.

There are 2 MCAN controllers in the integrated MCU in the SoC. The only thing outside the SoC is the CAN transceiver, we use TCAN1043-Q1 (w/ wakeup) and TCAN1042HGVD (w/o wakeup).
