AM3351: Bare Metal Environment

Hi Team,

My customer has some inquiries below with our AM570x and for all SITARA Processor,

1. All the arm and cortex cores along with interfaces can be used in a bare-metal environment.
2. All the interfaces can be accessed by any core in a bare-metal environment?

This is correct. The Processor SDK RTOS includes the chip support library and examples are included for both RTOS and bare metal. Please refer to http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/docs/latest/rtos/Overview.html for details.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your response, one more inquiry in the sitara AM570x series what will be the tool chain with ti-linux and bare metal development? Can you please provide the version no? And they are free or paid?

Renan,

Details on the toolchain revisions are provided in each SDK release. For the Cortex-A cores we use gcc. For Cortex-M, the C66x DSPs, and PRUs we use TI compilers.
