TDA2SX: can't load module g_ether.ko : No such device

Hi LG,

can you try first toy remove g_mass_storage:

modprobe –r g_mass_storage

and then insert g_ether:

modprobe g_ether

and see if it works.

I think USB should be in host mode. Can you check the dts file and set dr_mode = "host" and see if it helps?

I get no usb instances under the /sys/kernel/debug directory.

What should i do to make the usb controllers list here?

If the USB instances are missing, then there seems to be an issue with the USB driver not being loaded properly. Not sure what could be the reason.

Are you using the Standard TI SDK release? Did you make any modifications to the code? Also, please share the complete kernel log starting from the boot, the config file, and the dtb file.

As i have no RTC oscillator on our custom board, so i actually make some modifications on the related code.But i did not modify anything about usb.

The attached zip pack includes the boot log, kernel config file and the dtb file i used.

Thanks for sharing the boot log and dtb file. But sorry, I wanted to ask the dts file instead, note the dtb file is binary and cannot be read easily.

Looking at the boot log, we see that USB drivers is never getting started during the boot. I suggest checking to see why the driver is not getting started.

Once this is resolved, you would be able to load the  g_ether module.
