TMS320C6657: Adjustable Parameters?

A number of years ago we built a product using the TI AM5728. During that development we were told the PCIE is provided to TI by a third party and there are no adjustable parameters. We are now wondering if the same holds true for the TI C6657 that we are currently using in a development.

Hi,

C6657 and AM5728 have different PCIE IP vendors. So what "no adjustable parameters" in AM5728 may be configurable in C6657. Can you explain what you want to adjust? Also you can refer to C6657 PCIE user guide here: http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sprugs6d/sprugs6d.pdf

Thanks for following up.

Most likely transmit pre-emphasis and Low_swing_mode.

Maybe RX CTLE boost too, but less likely to be needed.

Hi,

You can look at PL_GEN2 and Serdes_cfg0 and Serdes_cfg1 in the PCIE user guide, the configurability is limited.
