CCS/TDA3MV: Error Encountered changing lpddr2 capacity (4Gb -> 1Gb)

Could you please check if DDR is accessible at this location? Was it accessible when DDR was set to 4gb?

Ether 4gb -> 1gb configuration is not correct or some DDR issue..

I think It seems to be a waste to use 4gb of external LPDDR2 for a system that supports up to 2gb.

So, I have tried to change capacity of LPDDR2.

Then, is it okay to use 2gb? (ex. AS4C64M32MD2A-25BIN : ALLIANCE MEMORY's 2gb LPDDR2)

It is fine to use 2gb if that's your requirement. But for this to work, you need to change memory map on each core to fit it within 2gb memory map and then rebuild vision sdk.

i mean to say, that depends on your usecase. Calculate size require for your usecase and configure it accordingly.

There is a linker command file for each core, please check it and update as per your memory map.

You could find linker command file in vision_sdk\links_fw\src\rtos\bios_app_common folder for all TDA devices.

I think some ccs gel file seems to have an effect when loading qspl_flash_write file.

Because, when i load the file, memory access error is occured.

I am sorry, i am confused. I thought you are using vision sdk. 

Yes, definitely, if you are using default gel files, it would require changes to support 1GB memory.

I solved my problem.

The cause of this problem was lpddr2 speed setting in ccs.

After rebuilding 'qspi_flash_writer' that was modified memory map and changing lpddr2 speed from 400MHz to 333Mhz, the file load was successful.

It was a simple problem, but sorry to bother you.

Thanks to you, I was able to learn other things at this opportunity.
