TCI6638K2K: K2 EVM6638 10G mode loopback questions

Part Number: TCI6638K2K

Hi,

We are developing 10G driver for K2 EVM6638.

How can the 10G ports (port 1 and port 2), working in XGIG mode, XGMII enabled.

The questions are about MAC digital loopback in XGMII mode.

I'm referencing documentation spruhj5 - 10G subsystem chapter 3.6.2.2

- bit 1 from the MAC_CONTROL register (Loopback) mentions that this should be changed only when GMII_EN (bit 5) is de-asserted but we do not use GMII, we use XGMII_EN (bit 13)

What are the steps to enable MAC digital loopback  in 10G mode (XGMII_EN)

Is the PCSR block involved in this 10G mode loopback?

If so how should we program the PCSR.

PCSR_TX_CTL in above mentioned documentation 3.5.1. refers to loopback via bits 0 and 1 but these registers are not documented at all (Description - TBD)

Please assist in enabling this loopback feature.

Best Regards,

Marius
