Compiler/TDA4VM: Does TDA4 VPFE interface Support on Linux

Hi TI members:

From our customer design, there is one deserializer will connect to TDA4 through VPFE interface.

Because in origin PSDKLA_06_02 J721E related device tree files, there is no VPFE design.

and in PSDKLA document, I also can't find related information.

Does TDA4 support VPFE interface on linux, or only RTOS?

Can you share us some document how to use TDA4 VPFE interface?

Hi Chen,

VPFE driver is not yet supported in PSDKLA and PSDKRA..

Hi Chen,

Why do you want to use VPFE? Could you help us understand usecase?

Hi Brijesh:

For our customer request, there are three deserializers in our customer board.

1. DS90UB962W ( will connect to a 360 CAMERA )

2. DS90UB936 ( will connect to a FRONT CAMERA )

3. MAX96706 ( will connect to a DMS CAMERA )

And becuase DS90UB926 & DS90UB936 were connected to TDA4 through CSI interface (CSI1 / CSI0)

So we only can designed that MAX96706 was connected to TDA4 through VPFE interface.

VPFE modules is still under planning stage, i don't have yet exact schedule.
