TDA4VM: I'd like display data through eDP.

Dear TI,

SW : psdk_rtos_auto_j7_06_02_00_21 + PSDKQA_7Q70.06.02

HW : TDA4VM EVM without INFOTAINMENT EXPANSION BOARD KIT.

When I try to run the "run_app_single_cam.sh", it seems like to working without error log. But eDP display is not working.

I already set the configuration for eDP display like below in "vision_apps/apps/basic_demos/app_tirtos/common/app_cfg_mcu2_1.h"

    I see below statement in the log, so yes, display is using eDP. To which port, are you connecting DP cable?

    [MCU2_1]      1.281818 s: DSS: Display type is eDP !!!

    I connected DP cable to DISPLAY0 port.

    And when i check the "v3v3_dp0" pin level, it's level is low.

    It's looks like that Power control and gpio pin related with eDP didn't configured.

    This could be reason why DSS-eDP is not working..

    Also i see that you are using QNX. 

    Can you please check if DSS is being used/controlled from R5F or from A72? If it is from A72, then disable it on R5F and vice versa.

    1. Looking at your log, i see lot of DSS error..

    => I added some logs for debugging. These are not error log. You can ignore these.

    2. Also i see that you are using QNX. 

    => Right. I'm using QNX.

    3. Can you please check if DSS is being used/controlled from R5F or from A72? 

    => How to check this?

    4. If it is from A72, then disable it on R5F and vice versa.

    => Could you explain more detail about this?

    Can you check if you are using dummy display on A72? From the log, it is definitely being used from R5F.

    This is DP to HDMI converter issue.

    When I using a DP to DP cable, vision_apps is working well.

    I will resolve this.
