    Hi, Franz,

    Literally it means to me that this document doesn't try to conform with any SAR ADC standards if there is one. I google searched that IEEE seems to have something regarding SAR ADC. If that is the standard, the document doesn't try to conform with it, but it's TI implementation. You may want to search if there is such standard exists for SAR ADC.
