TMS320VC5509A: Thermal information

Hi, 

Good day. I hope you are doing well. 

Our customer is looking for the Tj (max) for the TMS320VC5509APGE. I've checked the datasheet and it seems that it is not available. Can you please help us provide this to our customer?

    Hello Rex,

    Thank you for your support on this request. 

    Would it be possible for a thermal request for this? Or could we consider the max storage temperature as the max Tj for this (150 °C)?

    I would appreciate any help you could provide us as this was required by our customer.

    Hi Cedrick

    You cannot use the max storage temperature Tj as the operating Tj. The storage temp is listed for units "stored" not functional.

    For older devices (this is consistent across several processor devices) we only spec'd Tcase , not Tjunction.

    C5509a is a very low power device - so Tcase and Tjunction would be very close. Customer should be able to use the thermal coef data to extrapolate as needed. 

    They need to maintain a Tcase of 85C as specified in the datasheet.

    We will not able to support any additional information or request for data on these older devices
