AM3358: Differences between Starter Kit and Beaglebone Black

Hello Everyone,

What is the basic platform difference between AM335X starter kit and Beagle bone Black. Does both board have the same OS of there is difference in the OS?

Does Starter kits provide the all the example codes? In training module I should prefer to start to use AM335x starter kit.

Regarding software, both boards are supported by the AM335x Processor SDK:

Thanks for sharing the links, But I want know about the OS which is by default loaded in both the boards. Both basic Kernel will be same or there will different Kernel like Beagle Bone black with Debian. Both boards have the same basic OS or different. This specific point I am looking for.

Beaglebone Black is a third-party board, and it's delivered with a version of Debian Linux programmed in the eMMC. Starter Kit is a TI EVM, and it's delivered with an SD card, which will very likely contain an older version of the TI Linux SDK. However both boards are supported by the AM335x Processor SDK (see link above).

Thanks for your reply. If I want start the development with TI starter kit what are basic things required to check as I am new for linux platform.

I want to understand all the basics which are required for the linux development platform.
