Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDXEVM3358, AM3358,
The customer have a Linux porting issue on AM3352BZCZD80.
Could you please provide some advice?
-Board : Customer ordinal board based on TMSXEVM3358.
-OS : Ubuntu_18.04.3_64bit
-SDK : ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-06.03.00.106-Linux-x86-Install.bin
<Question>
- It stop at "Starting kernel" when they tried to start by loading dtb and Linux-Image from U-boot. Do you think what are possible causes ?
- They are working on the issue of increasing the Linux version on devices with older Linux (on the customer boards based on TMDXEVM3358).
They think that it starts with the setting of TMDXEVM3358 which is a general basis, and then inserts the specific setting. Is it correct?
(It's for this recognition that am335x-evm.dtb made with the new SDK will work on older Linux boards based on TMDXEVM3358.)
-About am335x-evm.dts and am33xx-dtsi which are the bases of am335x-evm.dtb, most of them are not so many settings required to proceed to the “Starting kernel…” or later in the peripheral settings.
Please tell me the minimum boot setting if possible.
-When it stops at "Starting kernel …", make am335x-evm.dtb with ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-06.03.00.106-Linux-x86-Install.bin on a board based on TMDXEVM3358 It happens even if I try to start it,
but the difference between the TMDXEVM3358 and the board based on it is noticeable is the difference between am3358 and am3352. Is this difference causing am335x-evm.dtb to work without modification?
Thanks and Regards,
