AM5708: LCD artifacts after upgrading kernel from TI 4.4.41 to 4.19.73

Part Number: AM5708
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVDS93A

We have recently upgraded our platform from Linux 4.4.41 to 4.19.73. After the upgrade we have some LCD line artifacts.

The Line artifacts only show up when we are using a colour gradient. No issues on solid colour sections. The lines are definitely tied to the colour instead of the whole display as can be seen from image below.

I have noticed quite some changes in the OMAP DRM driver. Is it possible some of these changes are impacting the display?

The video output of the AM5708 goes through a SN65LVDS93A to a AU Optronics G101EVN01.6 display which is a "RGB 6-bit" display. I think its using FRC to get to 8-bit.
