Any example for AM3715 to setup and toggle a gpio pin?

I am debugging a new board using AM3715. I can start the x-loader from MMC, but after x-loader loaded the u-boot.bin from the MMC and pass the control to u-boot, u-boot seems halted the cpu without any console message. I don't know which part of the u-boot has problem. Can anyone that has an example code to initialize and toggling a gpio pin of AM3715, so that, I can insert into the u-boot to find out where the problem is?

Hi Colman,

I would suggest you to use JTAG debugger for quick debugging. Coming back to your question is concerned, you can refer to function "setup_net_chip" inside "board/ti/evm/evm.c" which actually toggles Eth reset gpio pin.

I'm also trying to toggle a GPIO pin on the 3517. I'm using the AM3517 evaluation board. Where would I find the evm.c code you are referencing? That path/code did not come with this board.

It is under u-boot folder.

Hi Mike,

For AM3517, the board file would be under <u-boot home directory>/board/logicpd/am3517/am3517evm.c OR if its older u-boot version then check <u-boot home directory>/board/ti/am3517/am3517evm.c
