Hi
I want to test the SI of sata ports on my board.
How to make DRA746 generate SATA eye pattern signal?
SATA_BISTCR bit 18(TXO) and bit 3:0 (PATTERN) are for the transportation quality tes?
Thank you!
Daniel

Hi B.C.
Could you provide the document or steps about "How to make DRA746 generate SATA eye pattern signal"?
Thanks
Daniel
Unfortunately, there is no documentation available on how to use these registers to output a test signal. All electrical validation was done via the standard compliance method that involves connecting the SoC to test equipment which automatically puts it into a test mode.
The SATA interface has been validated to pass the compliance eye mask under all silicon conditions.
Hi B.C.
Thanks for your help
My customer want to do SATA test such as the compliance eye mask by himself.
Could you give him some suggestions?
Thanks
Daniel
No documentation or support is available for performing the SATA eye mask test in an embedded system. TI has performed the eye mask test in a validation environment with test equipment attached.
