OMAP-L138 USB pins 5V tolerant for 24 hours??

In table 5.1 Absolute Maximum Ratings, on the 5V tolerant USB pins say this: "Up to a maximum of 24 hours" in the footnotes.

What does this mean? I doubt that it means I can only have my host mode project on for 24 hours at a time (with VBUS fed to the VBUS pin).  Is there some maximum rating for indefinite connection?

Absolute Maximum Ratings are typically used to specify the worst case electrical conditions that a particular pin/device can be subjected to without causing stress to the silicon or the packaging.. In this case, VBUS_USB0 is can handle an operating voltage of 5.50V for up to 24 hours, however it is recommended that one stay within the bounds of the recommended specifications, and never subject the device to the absolute maximums.

If you look at the OMAP-L138 Datasheet  recommended operating conditions (subsequent table 5.2 "Recommended Operating Conditions") you can see that it is recommended to stay within the VBUS_USB0 voltages of 0V - 5.25VDC during normal device operation.
